Getting married in France didn’t teach me how to plan a wedding but it did teach me what it is to be a bride – to feel the emotions that only a wedding can evoke.
Every time someone contacts me at the French Wedding Company, my heart skips as I remember the excitement that my own engagement created.
But it also reminds me of how daunting planning a wedding can be. So the first thing you can be sure of when you work with my team and me…. is we know how you feel.
We also know you’ll have lots of questions: How do we choose a venue? What will it cost? Will mum eat foie gras? Who shall we ask to be bridesmaids and best man? We want it outdoors but what if it rains? And what the hell are those profiterole cakes called?!
We may not have the answers to all your questions but we can advise you on most. Over the years we have organised weddings for a variety of faiths, cultures and nationalities – and in all sorts of locations – which gives us a unique insight into the planning process in France.
Having knowledge of over 100 venues means we are not over-exposed to one place. Instead we view each with a fresh pair of eyes, treat each as a blank canvas. Once we’ve found the perfect location, we will then help you with all the logistics of creating your unique day – right down to ordering extra loo-roll!
At the French Wedding Company we consider it a privilege to be asked to play such an important part in your wedding. But recognise it is also a huge responsibility. So I’ll act as your confidante and counsellor, be your ally and feet on the ground. I’ll even, when necessary, play Devil’s advocate…
…Because – like you – I once dreamed of getting married in France.
