Hi, I’m Laura
an English-speaking wedding and events planner based near Bordeaux, France and Founder of French Wedding Company. I have been in the hospitality industry over 25 years, learnt my profession on Park Lane and at diverse 5-star properties in and around London and SW France, and I love it!
Why?
Because whilst I have organised events for celebrities and royalty, in the corporate, public and private sectors my favourite people are people like you… couples with two unique stories to share with those that mean the most to you.
I have always thought that you lose something when a wedding conforms to a given format and that ‘something’ is identity. It’s why I always try to understand who my couples really are, how they live, their likes and dislikes, what makes them laugh, what makes them cry… and what makes them get up and dance! Your private lives are when you most get to be you and there is no more important an occasion to express who we are, than a milestone celebration.
I book a limited number of weddings per year so I can dedicate the time it needs to get to know you and create a truly individual event from a blank canvas. I’m most happy and know I have done my job when your guests recognise the celebration as a reflection of you and say…
“This is the best wedding we have ever been to!”

Meet your team
Victoria
Our Planning Co-Ordinator Victoria is fluent in French and English. She manages the office and planning administration. Thankfully she loves paperwork! She will be co-ordinating the correspondence between us, your suppliers and our team. Efficient, a stickler for detail and processes you will be in good hands.
Pascale
Pascale is our Events Co-Ordinator and has been part of the French Wedding Company team for the past 3 years. She started out in the office and she has a full understanding of our systems and what it takes to plan an event. Pascale has now moved Front of House and is my number two at events.
Loved by everyone, she always has a smile on her face and nothing is too much trouble. Her professional attitude and can do approach is exactly what you need to keep yourself and guests relaxed and enjoying the celebrations. Her former life as a wedding dress designer comes in helpful on occasion too!
Operations Team
Events don’t run smoothly on their own! They take a dedicated team of professional suppliers and staff to deliver a seamless, efficient and enjoyable experience for both you and your guests from arrival to departure.
All French Wedding Company events include members of our English speaking Operations Team – porters, bar staff, cleaners and hostesses, all looking after logistics in a friendly and professional manner both in front and behind the scenes. Having our team as part of your event creates continuity over the days and the relaxed and familiar atmosphere that our clients are looking for.
