An Elegant Garden Party at the Aristocratic Chateau

Kathleen and Matt fell in love with the Aristocratic Chateau from the very start. Matt, an architect, appreciated this elegant and beautifully renovated, historic building, and they were both delighted with how well it suited their wedding celebrations.

Bringing friends and family together from the US, including their own priest, they were able to experience this home away from home for a couple of days before and after the wedding.

Following a casual welcome dinner of local fare at a nearby restaurant the night before, the wedding day itself started with a leisurely promenade down to the pretty village church across the road.

After an intimate ceremony, the bride, groom and guests wandered back to the Chateau accompanied by acoustic music, setting the mood for the afternoon.

Kathleen and Matt wanted an extended day and to include a nod to the pool parties they host back in San Francisco, and so together, we designed the cocktail reception of culinary food stations, a soft drinks and wine bar and specially selected lounge furniture in a style that complemented the surroundings of the pool.

On the adjacent lawn, traditional wooden games were set up for everyone to have a go. The competition was fierce!

Pre-dinner, signature cocktails were served from an elegant bar on the courtyard and accompanied by a local manouche band, à la Django Reinhardt.

Gathering the guests under the nomad tent that was open to the views, the floral installations, naked tables, vintage tablescapes and garland lighting, provided the perfect, warm ambiance for an elegant and intimate dinner with friends and family before enjoying jazz into the night, back on the courtyard.

The next day was spent hosting a late brunch at the nearby Michelin starred restaurant Le Vieux Logis.

Congratulations Kathleen and Matt
